As Pastor Dan Kimball closed out this book, he described his desires for us a reader. One key desire is that whether or not we agree with his conclusions about the difficult subjects we would not throw the Bible aside too quickly. That even with the confusing and challenging content the Bible can still help us learn more about Jesus. He desires that we would be willing to read and wrestle with it.

What did you find the most helpful or insightful from reading this book together?
How could the messy and difficult parts of the Bible help us to better understand Jesus? How could they make it more difficult?
What can we do to be deeper thinkers concerning the Bible and our faith without feeling we each have to become experts in every area of Bible scholarship and theology?
How can we grow in our confidence concerning the Bible or our faith without becoming mean, arrogant, abusive, or intolerant?
